Privacy Policy

1. Who we are (data controller)

iOS Interview Platform is a service for preparing for iOS development interviews, with AI feedback and resume analysis (ATS score). This policy explains which personal data we process, why, and for how long, as well as your rights under the GDPR.

The data controller responsible for your personal data is the iOS Interview Platform project team. For any data-protection question or request, contact us at earlyaccess@remainder.pro.

2. What data we store

When you sign in with Google or LinkedIn (OAuth), we store in our database:

  • your email address;
  • your name from your provider profile;
  • a link to your avatar;
  • authentication tokens from your sign-in provider - required to keep you signed in;
  • whether you have requested early access and whether access has been granted to you.

We do not process payments and do not request or store any payment details. If you choose to support the project with a voluntary donation, that happens directly through external services (your bank, Monobank, or a crypto wallet), which handle it on their side; this app never sees your card or wallet data.

3. What we do NOT store - your resume, ATS reports, and quiz results

We do not store the resume (CV) you upload or the ATS report generated from it. The resume file is processed exclusively in the server’s memory during scoring: it is read into memory, analyzed, and never written to disk or to a database. Once the report has been generated and returned to you, neither its contents nor the resume text remain on our side.

The ATS report exists only in your browser during the session. The only way to keep it is to download the PDF (the export button on the report page). This is a deliberate data-minimization principle (under the GDPR): we store only what the service cannot work without, and we do not accumulate the contents of your resumes.

We also do not store your quiz results. The level you played, your scores, and your individual answers are not saved in our database - your run history is kept in your browser’s local storage, and the details of the current run last only for that browser tab. Clearing your browser data removes it.

One exception to be transparent about: to generate the AI feedback at the end of a run, the relevant quiz data (the level, the questions, and which answers you chose) is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, which processes it to produce the feedback text. It is used only to generate that feedback and is not stored by us. See section 7 for the third parties involved and section 5a for processing outside the EU.

4. Why we process data (legal bases)

  • email, name, avatar, authentication tokens - to create and operate your account (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  • access status (early-access waitlist and granted access) - to provide access to the features.

5. Donations

The service is free. If you choose to make a voluntary donation to support it, the payment is made directly through external services (your bank, Monobank, or a crypto wallet) and is handled entirely on their side under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive or store your card or wallet data - at most we see that a transfer arrived so we can thank you.

5a. Processing outside the EU

Some of the processing described here takes place outside the European Economic Area (EEA):

  • AI feedback and resume analysis are processed by OpenAI in the United States;
  • analytics, when you consent to it, is processed by Google in the United States.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards - such as the providers’ participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request more detail about these safeguards using the contact in section 1.

6. Retention periods

  • Account data (email, name, avatar, authentication tokens) is stored for as long as your account exists.
  • When you delete your account, all of this data is permanently removed.
  • Resumes, ATS reports, and quiz results are not stored on our servers at all, so retention does not apply to them (see section 3).

7. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with processors the service cannot operate without:

  • the Google and LinkedIn sign-in providers (OAuth authentication);
  • the AI feedback provider (OpenAI) - the text you enter is sent to generate feedback and analyze the resume; this text is not stored by us (see section 3);
  • Google Analytics (traffic and usage analytics) - loaded only after you consent (see section 8);
  • an error-monitoring provider (Sentry) - when an error occurs, technical diagnostics (such as the request path and a stack trace) may be sent so we can fix the problem; we do not send resume or quiz contents to it.

If you report a question (e.g. flagging it as incorrect), the report - together with an internal account identifier - is processed on our own infrastructure and then forwarded to us by email and/or messaging service so we can review it. We handle these reports only to maintain and improve the question set.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Cookies and local storage

Strictly necessary: when you sign in we set a session cookie so the service knows you are logged in. It is required for the app to work and does not need your consent.

Analytics (consent-based): if you agree in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to measure traffic and usage. These load only after you accept; if you decline, they are never set. You can change your mind by clearing your browser data, which removes the stored choice and shows the banner again.

Your preferences and quiz history (theme, language, past quiz results) are kept in your browser’s local storage, not in cookies, and are not saved in our database (see section 3 for the one AI-feedback exception).

9. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy of it (right of access and data portability);
  • rectify inaccurate data;
  • delete your account and all associated data - you can do this yourself (see below);
  • object to, or restrict, processing.

You can delete your account and all data on the Account page. To request a copy of your data, or for any other request, write to earlyaccess@remainder.pro - the data we hold is limited (your email, name, avatar, and access status), and we will send it to you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page.
